I’ve been tasked with identifying some books on e-learning that our department might buy (using up the funds before the end of the year) and wondered if anyone has any recommendations?

Nicola Whitton’s ‘Learning with Digital Games is a very thorough dare I say pedagogical approach to using games in higher learning, and even goes into how to design games yourself with minimal/no programming skills. At 200 pages it’s not too long to actually read ‘off the cuff’ or for ‘fun’ (hey pedagogy is fun, right?) has good info, and will use up a good chunk of your budget at around 100 pounds 🙂
thanks Bo, I have a copy of that myself but I think work might benefit from one you’re right.
£100 – I don’t remember spending that much.
Gilly Salmon’s books about emoderating and e-tivities are very useful and easy to read
