We’re very pleased to have Natasa Lackovic, a researcher with a lot of experience of working with images in an education context, joining us for a virtual discussion event on Monday 12 November at 7:30pm (UK time). Natasa will be recording a talk for us to watch in advance, titled “Deeper than the eye can see: photo elicitation and image-based meaning making“. This will be available to participants from 5 November. We will then meet up to discuss the talk and other issues with Natasa, probably in a Collaborate session (which will have video and text chat capability).
All students and alumni are invited! This might be of particular interest to those who are undertaking their dissertations or getting towards that time, but it’s also highly relevant to all of us as we consider multimodal and visual assignments, and to anyone who wants to think more deeply about the status of the visual and images in our meaning-making practices.
