You should soon be getting an email about this to your student email address: from January 2013, the email service for all taught MSc and undergraduate students will move to Office 365. There is some more information at http://www.ed.ac.uk/is/office365
I’m posting here because I wanted to make sure you all know, and also to invite questions/concerns that I could maybe feed back to inform the development of the information website.
