hello everyone! An especially warm welcome to our new programme participants – we’re delighted to have you with us, and looking forward to working with you. From today, you will have access to your own account here in the Hub.
Semester 1 begins on Monday 16 September, and everyone will have access to their course sites from Monday 9 September. We recommend that you use the week of the 9th as orientation week, getting to know your fellow course participants and your course environments.
Some potentially useful info:
1. the course, programme and dissertation handbooks have all been updated and are available on the handbooks page at http://hub.digital.education.ed.ac.uk/handbooks/.
2. our technologies guide is in a new, web-based format – you can find it at https://www.wiki.ed.ac.uk/display/mscdetech.
3. we have changed our programme Twitter hashtag to #mscde (previously #mscel) in light of our shiny new programme name.
4. continuing students: if you haven’t yet signed up for a course in September, and you wish to, there is still time – the enrolment form is at https://www.moodle.is.ed.ac.uk/course/view.php?id=131. Course Design is now full, but there are spaces left on E-learning Strategy and Policy, Understanding Learning, and Digital Futures.
If you have any questions about anything in the run-up to the start of semester, you can contact your course tutor (if course-specific), me (for general academic queries relating to the programme) or our course administrator, Angie Hunter (angela.hunter@ed.ac.uk) for questions about practical matters.
See you in a few weeks!
