We warmly invite all students, alumni and friends of the MSc programme to join us at our graduation ceremony in Second Life at 3pm on Friday 29 November 2013.
Those graduating with Certificates, Diplomas and MScs will be invited to participate either in the face-to-face ceremony in McEwan Hall in Edinburgh, or online in Second Life at the same time. It’s wonderful to have many friends and supporters there, to cheer them on and celebrate their achievements. This is our final graduation under the “E-learning” programme title, so it marks a particularly special occasion in the history of the programme.
This video, created by Austin Tate as he simultaneously graduated f2f and in Second Life in 2012, gives a sense of what the virtual graduation experience is like for graduates and attendees. Last year, for the first time, names of our virtual graduates were called out in McEwan Hall – the video captures the magic of that moment. It’s definitely something to experience!
